Bangalore-based manufacturer Simple Energy will launch the much-awaited electric scooter Simple One in the Indian market on 23 May 2023. Production of the electric scooter began at the company’s Shulgiri plant in Tamil Nadu, and Saral Energy started using the product at its factory. Interestingly the company has not revealed any details about when its flagship products will be delivered to customers. To give you a quick overview, Simple Energy launched a prototype of this electric scooter in 2021.

The company then installed a 4.8 kWh battery and a 4.5 kW engine and later acquired a third battery version for added range. In fact, Simple Energy ranks among the leading electric scooters with an effective range of 300 km. Apart from this, the prototype includes premium features, including full LED lighting, a colour TFT display with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and four driving modes: Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic. Hardware on the prototype includes front flex, telescopic mono chokes, back brakes, 12-inch alloys at both ends and 90/90 tyres at the front and rear. Simple Energy has announced its flagship showroom in Bengaluru, priced at Rs. 1.10 lakh for electric scooters in 2021. However, the final price may change during the launch scheduled for May 23, 2023. Noted adjustments, especially related to FAME-II support, may affect pricing in the future.
