Honda is pursuing a patent application in India. The manufacturer recently filed patent applications for the CBR250RR and CL300 in the country and has now patented two electric scooters here.
Called the Dax E and Zoomer E- the scooters are modern and electric designs, with a popular fuel variant. Both are smaller in size and come with a Bosch hub engine capable of delivering a range of 80 km and an amazing top speed of 25 km/h on both.
While nothing to own on a scale like the Ather 450, Ola S1 or TVS iQube, these electric scooters from Honda can offer a respectable B2B. Regarding the features, the Honda DeX E: and Zoomer E: comes with modern features like LED lights, LCD device and disc brakes at both ends.
Whether Honda will launch an electric scooter or not is yet to be known. However, we know that the manufacturer is looking to launch the electric Activa in the country by 2024. Details are scanty, but the scooter will go up against the big players of the electric two-roller space and possibly the Suzuki e-Bergman if it will be launched in India as well.
